as a designer
I have been a creative critter since I can remember. I have created graphic design work and web sites for local businesses in the Nowra/Shoalhaven region including National Parks and Wildlife, Kangaroo Valley Golf Club and Resort and Cimador Bathrooms and national businesses such as Health Fixx Australia and Spark Joy Melbourne.

My work is almost always initially created by hand using a strong sense of imagination and incorporating ideas that come from media, everyday objects and nature. I then develop ideas using refinement and sketching techniques and then convert them into digital using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

as an educator

I currently work for TAFE NSW and Adobe Systems. I have been an educator for over 10 years for organisations such as ANZ Bank, Australian Government and Community Colleges [see my resume]. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and ideas, not to mention seeing others excel through encouragement and creativity. I create and educate students and teachers in programs including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite and other programs on demand. I also teach visual communications, photography, digital editing and principles of design.

I was recently awarded ‘Education Trainer’ status by Adobe Systems. I am very proud to receive this status from such a reputable company. Each year I am to make use of the skills learned to retain this status. To do this I am required to perform 100 hours of instruction to teachers as well as students on the use of Adobe software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Illustrator.

as an academic

I believe education is lifelong. Every year I try to study a subject I am interested in or that will assist me in keeping ahead of my students! I have recently completed a Graphic Design Diploma which will take pride of place in my working and personal life.

After studying visual and media arts at Deakin University Melbourne I successfully exhibited at the Deakin University Art Space, Hawthorn Contemporary Art Gallery and the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre. My designs and photographic work have also been chosen for inclusion in various publications created at CASA House and ANZ Bank. I have been awarded for outstanding acheivement and excellence while I studied at Deakin University. As a result I was granted lifetime membership to the Golden Key International Honour Society.
