Coming to the end of a beautiful chapter? She's finished! She is a botanical study of the fragrant sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima), a wonderful, low-maintenance plant ideal for attracting pollinators. 🌸 🐝 🌿 When something in a reference image looks different, it needs to be rendered differently – so a change of technique is required. As AI evolves, it’s becoming harder to tell the difference between a human sketch and a digital generation. While AI will only continue to get more impressive at emulating art, there is one thing it can’t replicate: the human impulse to create. ⁕ Sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima) forms dense racemes of minute, four‑petalled flowers - each only 3–4 mm long and whose morphology reveals elegant symmetries when studied with the kind of close attention required for detailed ink work. 🌸 🥳 She is finally complete! Layers of technical pen precision and patience. ✨ The Lavender Star has bloomed! I’ve captured her journey in a short video showing each stage. Along the way, I leaned on tools and influences that shaped her: Sakura Pigma Micron pens with their archival ink (though the limited colour range nudged me toward Charsoco Micron line pens), Tombow brush pens with their gorgeous saturation (thanks for the suggestion @kim.grivas), and a final whisper of Faber‑Castell Polychromos pencils. 🌿✨ Introducing "Spider Plant" – A Beautiful Ink Drawing! ✨🌿 🌸 ✨ Petals meet pixels ✨ 🌸
